Edit Shortened URL

You can edit the shorted URL details for the original URL and uploaded file.

Edit Shortened URL Details

You can edit the existing shortened URL except for the label and the slug available under the URL shortening. In addition to this, you have the option to upload the file in the existing shortened URL.

You can edit the following details:

  • URL Title
  • Original URL
  • Callback URL
  • Enable or disable Track user
  • Update a new document

To edit shortened URL details manually, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Kaleyra.io account.
  2. On the left menu bar, click URL Shortener.
    The Single URL tab detail appears.
  1. Hover over the URL shortener you want to edit the details. Click the ellipsis (three dots) and a list of options appears, click Edit.
    The Edit URL pane appears on the right side of the page.
  1. You can edit the following:
    1. In the URL Title field, update the title for your URL shortener. It is recommended to update a name that is easy to remember in case you have multiple shortened URLs.
    2. In the Enter Original URL field, update the original URL you want to shorten. It is recommended to re-check the URL before updating.
    3. (Optional) In the Callback URL field, update the callback URL.
    4. (Optional) Select or un-select the Track user to get the details of the URL shortener users who have clicked the URL shortener link. You can view these details in URL shortener reports.
    5. You can update the file while editing the shortened URL. Click the Upload File tab, in the Drag and Drop the documents here or Click here to upload field, you can either drag and drop the documents or click to upload from the source folder to update the file. The confirmation message Request successfully executed! appears.
  2. Click Save. The confirmation message URL updated successfully appears and you will be redirected to the Single URL tab detail page.

Edit Shortened URL Details for Uploaded File

You can edit the shortened URL for an uploaded file except for the label and the slug available under the URL shortening (Optional).

Note:

You can not edit the original URL in the case of Upload File.

You can edit the following details:

  • URL Title
  • Update an existing document
  • Callback URL
  • Enable or disable Track user

To edit the shortened URL details for the uploaded file, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Kaleyra.io account.
  2. On the left menu bar, click URL Shortener.
    The Single URL tab detail appears.
  1. Hover over the URL shortener with the uploaded file you want to edit the details. Click the ellipsis (three dots) and a list of options appears, click Edit.
    The Edit URL pane appears on the right side of the page.
  1. You can edit the following:
    1. In the URL Title field, update the title for your URL shortener. It is recommended to update a name that is easy to remember in case you have multiple shortened URLs.
    2. You can delete the uploaded file by clicking x next to the uploaded file. To update the file while editing the shortened URL, in the Drag and Drop the documents here or Click here to upload field, you can either drag and drop the documents or click to upload from the source folder to update the file. The confirmation message Request successfully executed! appears.
    3. (Optional) In the Callback URL field, update the callback URL.
    4. (Optional) Select or un-select the Track user to get the details of the URL shortener users who have clicked the URL shortener link. You can view these details in URL shortener reports.
  2. Click Save. The confirmation message URL updated successfully appears and you will be redirected to the Single URL tab detail page.
