Overview

Kaleyra platform provides a Billing and Usage Management capability that allows you to monitor account balances, spending, recharge history, and usage consumption.

Key Billing Models

The following are the key billing models supported by the Kaleyra platform:

Prepaid Accounts

Maintain an available wallet in the account that could be recharged through the platform.

Messaging and communication charges are deducted from the allet each time the service is used.

You can view the following details from your prepaid account:

Current wallet
Usage History with day by day service split
Currency
Auto-debit status
Last recharge date
Last recharge amount
Online recharge

Postpaid Accounts

Usage is logged in the platform for real time monitoring and invoiced at the end of the billing cycle.

Messaging and communication charges are at the end of the billing cycle.

 Messaging and communication charges are deducted added to the usage balance.

You can view the following details from your postpaid account:

Current month's usage amount
Currency
Usage History with day by day service split

Parent and Sub-Account Billing

Kaleyra platform supports hierarchical account structures:

Parent accounts can view their own billing and usage.
Owner and Admin users of the Parent account can login into their Subaccounts to check current assigned budget or usage as well as the usage history of the given subaccount.
Sub-accounts can check their own usage information within the subaccount UI itself.
