Configure Kaleyra SMS Settings with Zoho Desk

You can configure Kaleyra's SMS settings with Zoho Desk. After successful configuration, you can log in to your Kaleyra.io account and view the account settings.

Grant Access to Resources and Settings

After successfully installing the Kaleyra plugin, you must provide read and write permission to Kaleyra.io applications to read the resources and settings to configure the workflow and trigger the SMS for different instances.

Note:

You need to allow the pop-up blocked for the installation URL you are trying to reach, you can either allow the pop-up to access the URL or you can click on the URL link from the pop-up to access your Kaleyra.io account details.

To access the installed plugin and view the configuration details, perform the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your Zoho Desk.
    The All Tickets page appears.
  1. On the top-right of the page click the gear icon for Setup(S).
    The Setup(S) page appears.
  1. Scroll down to the MARKETPLACE section.
    The MARKETPLACE section appears.
  1. Click All.
    The ALL EXTENSIONS tab details appear.
  1. Click the INSTALLED EXTENSIONS tab.
    The installed extensions appear. Scroll the page till you find the “Kaleyra SMS” widget.
  1. Click Kaleyra SMS.
    The EXTENSION DETAILS tab details appear.
  1. Click the PREFERENCE tab.
    The Zoho Acceptance page appears.
  1. Click Accept after reading the permission you will be granting.
    A confirmation message appears.

Login to Kaleyra Plugin and View your Account Settings

After successfully granting access to resources and settings, you will be prompted to enter your Kaleyra.io account credentials. After you log in you can view the account information, such as account-related details, configurations, SMS logs, and you can disconnect the plugins.

To view the configuration details, perform the following steps:

  1. Follow step 1 to step 6 of Grant Access to Resources and Settings.
    The text area to enter your Kaleyra.io credentials appears.
  1. Enter the Business Email and Password using your Kaleyra.io account credentials OR click Login with API Key link and then enter API Key and SID from your Kaleyra.io account, and then click Login.

    The Account Details tab details appear for your Kaleyra.io account.

Note:

  • SID and API Key are unique and enable the connection between Zoho Desk and Kaleyra. To view the API Key and the SID, see View API Key and SID.
  1. Click Configurations to view the configuration tab details.
    The Configurations tab details appear.
  1. Perform the relevant actions on the Configurations tab:
  • Sender ID - Displays the available sender IDs.
  • Request new sender ID - Click Request new sender ID to add a new sender ID. For more information, see Create Sender ID.
  • Templates - Click Templates to view the available templates.
  • Request new Template - Click Request new Template to add a new template. For more information, see Create SMS Template.
  • To set the default country code, above the SMS section, on the right side of the page, click the arrow next to the Default country code to view the list of countries and their codes. Scroll down, select the country OR in the Search country name search field, and enter the country code you want to set as default. Based on your entry countries get filtered and then select the country.

Note:

Once you select the country code, the country code gets added to the entered number (with accurate digits format based on a selected country. For example, +39XXXXXXXXXX for the Italian number and +91XXXXXXXXXX for the Indian number) while configuring the campaigns. If you enter a number with a country code, the default country code will be overridden.

  1. Click Logs to view the logs and SMS history.
    The Logs tab details appear.

The fields on the Logs tab details page are as follows:

  • SMS Type - The type of the SMS sent. They are transactional, marketing, or OTP.
  • From - The number from which the SMS is sent.
  • To - The number to which the SMS is sent.
  • Message ID - Displays the message ID of the SMS sent.
  • Cost - The cost incurred for the SMS service.
  • Status - The SMS delivery status.

Notes:

  • To disconnect the connection between the Zoho Desk and the Kaleyra plugin, click the Disconnect Plugin tab. Click Yes, Disconnect my account. The connection between Zoho Desk and Kaleyra account gets disconnected.
  • Disconnecting your plugin can disrupt your active ticket configuration. After disconnecting, you have the option log in again with credentials or API Key and SID.
