Kaleyra Expert Role
The Kaleyra expert role allows you to invite Kaleyra personnel to access your kaleyra.io account for monitoring, debugging, or configuration support. Kaleyra personnel invited using the “kaleyra expert role” may have either read-only access to the account or limited write permission access. You can set a specific deadline after which, the access is automatically revoked.
You can also edit the duration for only Active Kaleyra personnel. Access for Kaleyra personnel can be revoked at any time, and during the revoking process, you will have the option to delete their details from the Team configuration. In case the Kaleyra personnel's set duration has expired, you also have the option to delete their details as well.
In addition, a report containing the actions performed by Kaleyra's personnel will be sent to your registered email ID.
Notes:
- After the granted session duration is over, the access to the Kaleyra team member is revoked automatically and they will no longer be able to support, debug any issue, or make any configuration changes.
- The Kaleyra team member will not have access to your account Usage/Balance, Recharges, Billing, or User Management related details. For more information about the permission you are granting when inviting Kaleyra personnel with “kaleyra expert” role, in the Invite Member pop-up, click the View Details link.
Add Kaleyra Expert Users
You can add Kaleyra personnel as a Kaleyra expert role to help you troubleshoot issues on the kaleyra.io platform.
To provide access to Kaleyra personnel as Kaleyra Expert role, perform the following steps:
- Sign in to your kaleyra.io account.
The Channels page appears.
- On the right side of the page, click the drop-down next to the user profile.
A list of options appears.
- Click the Settings option.
The General Settings page appears.
- On the left menu under the Team section, click the Team Members.
The Team Members page appears.
- Click the Invite Member button.
The Invite Member pop-up appears on the left pane.

Perform the following steps:

In the Name field, enter the name of the Kaleyra personnel you invite.

In the Email Address field, enter the email address of the Kaleyra personnel you want to invite. The only allowed emails are the ones with
@tatacommunications.com
domain name. -
In the Role field, click the arrow next to the Select Role. The list of the options appears, select Kaleyra Expert from the list.

(Optional) Select the Allow updating Configurations check-box to allow the Kaleyra personnel access in write mode to a limited set of resources. If this option is not selected, the invited Kaleyra personnel will only have read-only access to the account in read-only mode.

To define the duration of Kaleyra's personnel access to the account, select from the Allow Access Till any one of the following options:
- Custom Limit - Allows you to customize the specific date and time after which the access will be automatically revoked. To select the Date field, click the Select date, a calendar pop-up, and select the date. In the calendar, you can select only up to the maximum allowed duration (3 days). In the Time field, click the Select time, an hour duration list pop-up, and select the time.
- No Limit - This option allows to grant access to the account without any automatic expiration. If selected, the invited Kaleyra personnel will have access to the account until it is manually revoked.
Note:
No Limit option is NOT available for customers onboarded on the Americas/Europe region.

Select the By checking this box, you agree to grant limited account access to the approved Kaleyra Team until the Specified Date & Time. This includes downloading reports containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as needed. check box to be able to grant access to Kaleyra personnel with “kaleyra expert” role.

Click Send Invitation. The Kaleyra personnel gets invited through email to your account with the Kaleyra Expert role.
- You can also invite more than one Kaleyra personnel within a single invitation, to include additional Kaleyra personnel to the invitation, click the + Add Member link.
- Follow step 6 and step 7 of this section to add another Kaleyra personnel.
Note:
To remove the section to another Kaleyra personnel details, on the top-right of the User 2 click the Remove Member link.
- Click the Send Invitation. Invited Kaleyra personnel will get the notification for access through an email.
Search for a team member
You can search for a team member from the Team Members list page based on the name you provided for the team members when configuring. For more information, see Search for a team member.
Filter team members
You can filter the team members based on the selected criteria, conditions, and selected value. For more information, see Filter team members.
Edit a team member access
You can edit the team member access permissions for admin, communication manager, support, and Kaleyra expert. For more information, see Edit a team member access.
Resend invitation to a team member
You can resend the invitation only to the team member who has not accepted the Kaleyra Expert invitation by clicking the link in the invitation email and completing the procedure to join kaleyra.io based on their role. Delete a team member
You can delete the team member from the Team Members page. For more information, see Delete a team member.
