Overview
The Consent Management Service allows enterprises to manage their end-users' permissions for receiving promotional communications over a given channel.
The service captures and stores the Opt-In and Opt-Out actions of the Brand’s end-users and stores them in the Consent database for the Brand. When the Brand sends any promotional marketing campaign or message, the consent for each targeted end-user is verified. If the end-user has given consent, then the message is sent. If no consent is given, then the message is not sent.
An end-user can provide or revoke their consent to receive promotional messages not only at channel level (for example, SMS) but also in a more fine-grained way within a given channel based on specific channel-related “consent-identity” (that is, for SMS, consent can be given or revoked on SenderID
basis).
For the SMS channel, the consent identity is the registered SenderID
or the Long/Short Code used to send promotional communications. Kaleyra provisions the SenderID
or the Long/Short Code used by the enterprise.
For the WhatsApp channel, the consent identity will be the enterprise registered WABA number and is provisioned by Kaleyra.
The end-users will then send messages to the channel specific “consent-identity” to provide consent or revoke consent based on specific keywords. The end-user consent can be configured to be checked at the messaging API level or at Kaleyra Campaign UI, or both levels.
