Overview

Kaleyra platform offers a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) shortener feature that allows you to shorten any long URL you want to send to your end-users without altering the destination address. Additionally, there is an option to create a shortened URL for the uploaded files. You can use this shortened URL in different channels while composing the messages.

Shorten URL not only reduces the length of messages (relevant especially for SMS) or the size by avoiding attaching files but also makes your message crispier and clearer to read for the end-users. In addition, Kaleyra platform's URL shortener allows you to view analytics about clicks on the short URL link for each shortened URL, with the option to also track users and view details about who clicked the shortened URL, with details like from which devices, when, and from where.

You can short a single URL manually or shorten several long URL in bulk using the template. By default, any shortened URL is valid for 12 months, after 12 months, the short URL won’t redirect the end-user to the intended target page.
