The Typing Indicator (Agent-to-User) API is an RCS event API that allows a business agent or chatbot to notify an end user that a response is being composed. When triggered, the user's RCS messaging app displays a typing indicator (for example, animated dots), providing real-time feedback that the agent is actively responding.
The feature improves the conversational experience by:
- Letting end-users know that an agent or bot is preparing a response.
- Reducing perceived wait times during customer support interactions.
