Activate an Autoresponder

After you have created the autoresponder flow you have to activate it to live the chatbot.

Note:

You can also activate the autoresponder flow from the Chatbot Overview page. Hover over the published autoresponder flow, click the ellipsis, a list of available options appears, select the Publish Chatbot option and then follow step 3 of this section.

To activate and publish an autoresponder, perform the following steps:

  1. From the Chatbot's Overview page, click the autoresponder flow you want to publish.

The Autoresponder's Chatbot details appear.

  1. Click Publish.
    The Edit Message pane appears on the right side of the page.

Note:

You have the option to edit the autoresponder's message you have published.

  1. Click Next.
    The Chatbot Configuration pane appears on the right side of the page.
  1. Perform the following steps:
    1. Click the arrow in the Select WhatsApp Number field and a list of approved WhatsApp numbers appear. Select the sender number from the dropdown list. This is the number to that your autoresponder will be connected. For more information about how to add a WhatsApp number, see Adding WhatsApp Number.
    2. (Optional) Click the arrow in the API Key field and a list of API keys appear. Select an API key from the dropdown list. For more information about API Key, see View API Key and SID.
  2. Click Publish.
    The autoresponder chatbot gets published and activated.

Notes:

After activating the autoresponder chatbot, you can select one of the following options by clicking the ellipsis on the right side of the page:

  • Rename Chatbot - The Edit Chatbot Name pane appear on the right side of the page. Update the autoresponder name and click Update. Also, you can rename by clicking the pencil icon next to the autoresponder name.
  • Edit Message - The Edit Message pane appears on the right side of the page. Update the autoresponder message and click Update. Also, you can rename by clicking the pencil icon next to the autoresponder message.
  • Disable Chatbot - The confirmation message Unpublish Chatbot appears, click Yes to disable the message. Once disabled, the number would not be connected to the autoresponder anymore.
  • Lock Chatbot - The confirmation message Are you sure you want to Lock this Chatbot? appears, click Lock Chatbot to lock the chatbot.

When the autoresponder is deactivated stage, you can select one of the following options by clicking the ellipsis on the right side of the page in addition to Rename Chatbot, Edit Message, and Reset to Previous Version:

  • Publish Chatbot - Follow the step 2 of this page.
  • Delete Chatbot - The confirmation message Are you sure you want to delete this Chatbot? appears, click Yes to delete the chatbot.
