[Delete] Add, Edit, and Delete WhatsApp Templates

The templates must be submitted for approval to us from your Kaleyra user account. The templates need to be reviewed by WhatsApp to ensure that they do not violate any of their policies. The approval process may take around 24 to 48 hours.
Once your templates are approved, you can add them to your LeadSquared account.

To add a WhatsApp template, perform the following steps:

  1. From the APPS drop-down https://dash.readme.com/project/api-kcloud/v1.0/docs/add-whatsapp-templateslist, click WhatsApp Templates. The Manage WhatsApp Templates page appears.
  1. On the Manage WhatsApp Templates page, click Add Template. The Add/Modify Template page appears.

Notes:

  • Ensure only approved templates are added.
  • The LeadSquared WhatsApp Connector only supports Text and Media templates.
  • The added templates need to be approved by Facebook and Kaleyra.io.
  1. Enter the Name, Namespace, and Content of your message template.

Note:

The Namespace value is available from Hexatron and will need the support help to address this.

  1. On the Add/Modify Template page. Toggle the slider against Attachments. The Image, video, and Document file option is enabled.
  2. To attach an image, click Image. Format supported is image/jpeg, image/png, and the size is 5 MB.
  3. To attach a Video file, click Video. Format supported is video/mp4, video/3gpp, and the size is 16 MB.
  4. To attach a document file, click Document. Format supported is video/mp4, video/3gpp, and the size is 16 MB.
  5. Image Details (Default Value) - You can insert the file into the template by entering the file URL in the Image Details field. Alternatively, you can attach the file from your desktop by clicking the attachment icon to upload it.
  6. Video Details (Default Value) - Click the attachment icon and choose a video/mp4 file to specify a URL or upload an attachment.
  7. Document Details (Default Value) – Click the attachment icon and choose a file to specify a URL or upload an attachment. If the field you specify is null (if there is no URL contained in the specified field), this attachment will be sent in the WhatsApp message.
  8. Select Attachment Type from the radio button. The options available are Static and Dynamic.
  • Static - Select Static radio button.
  • Dynamic - Select the Dynamic radio button and enter the following details:
    Default file name (applicable only to document type template) – Enter the default file name of the attachment.
    Object – Select the object from the drop-down list. The options available are Lead and Activity.
    Field – Select the field from the drop-down list.
  1. Click Save to save the file as shown below.

Note:

  • Only Notification and Customer support templates are supported.
  1. Click Cancel to cancel the application and return to the Manage WhatsApp Templates page.

Edit WhatsApp Template

To Edit a WhatsApp template, follow the below steps:

  1. From the APPS drop-down list, click WhatsApp Templates. The Manage WhatsApp Templates page appears.
  1. On the Manage WhatsApp Templates page, click Edit icon under Action column. The Add/Modify Template page appears.

  • Ensure only approved templates are added.
  1. Enter the Name, Namespace, and Content of your message template.
  2. From the Variable Mapping field, select the Object from the drop-down list. The options available are Lead, Activity, Task, User, Link, Lead Owner, Activity Owner, and Task Owner.
  3. Select the Field from the drop-down list. Enter the Default Value in the text box.
  4. On the Add/Modify Template page. Toggle the slider against Attachments. The Image, video, and Document file option is enabled.
  5. To attach an image, click Image. Format supported is image/jpeg, image/png, and the size is 5 MB.
  6. To attach a Video file, click Video. Format supported is video/mp4, video/3gpp, and the size is 16 MB.
  7. To attach a document file, click Document. Format supported is PDFs and the size is 100 MB.
  8. Select Attachment Type as Static. The options available are Static, and Dynamic.
  9. You can insert the file into the template by entering the file URL in the Image Details field. Alternatively, you can attach the file from your desktop by clicking the attachment icon to upload it.
  10. Click Save. A message Template edited Successfully appears at the bottom-left corner.
  1. Click Cancel to cancel the application and return to the Manage WhatsApp Templates page.

Delete WhatsApp Template

To Delete the WhatsApp template, perform the following steps:

  1. From the APPS drop-down list, click WhatsApp Templates. The Manage WhatsApp Templates page appears.
  1. On the Manage WhatsApp Templates page, select the desired row you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete icon under Action column. A pop-up message "Are you sure you want to delete this template?" appears.
  1. Click Yes to delete the template.
  2. Click No will return to the Manage WhatsApp Templates page.
